Originally, our team explored the possibility of a house design around the concepts of pre-fabrication. After a year-long design process, we have evolved our thinking into a much more flexible and economical solution. Typically, pre-fabrication forces a user to develop their house according to pre-fixed categories and often requires that the entire structure be constructed at a remote factory. Conversely, our design brings the essential components of the home to the user, allowing them to develop the majority of the house around their specific tastes and budget, and allowing them to use materials and resources already available in the local area.
