Ross Trethewey
HVAC and Solar Thermal Engineering Lead - Ross is pursuing his Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University. Ross has a sincere passion for energy efficiency and living sustainably which has led to his involvement with the Tufts Institute of the Environment and projects like the Solar Decathlon.

CURIOUS?
The Boston Architectural College (BAC) and Tufts University have joined forces as Team Boston to compete in the 2009 Solar Decathlon. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL) sponsor this biannual competition in which twenty teams showcase fully operational, energy-efficient, marketable, solar-powered homes to the public on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The 2007 Solar Decathlon Competition brought 250,000 visitors to the ‘Solar Village’ on the National Mall to view the latest in green design. The competition also generated over 1 billion media hits worldwide. The 2009 competition is expected to receive even more attention, and our unique and relevant approach will put our project on center stage. Come join us in our exploration to develop the Curio.House, to inspire and empower people to live sustainably.
