Amir Mesgar

Structural Engineer - Amir has been with L.A. Fuess Partners for nine years and has guided the technical analysis for many of their most complex and challenging projects. These have included a new airport terminal and 11-story hotel at the Sacramento International Airport and a multi-building mid-rise apartment complex in Phoenix, Arizona which utilized a unique slip form concrete construction technique.

CURIOUS?

The Boston Architectural College (BAC) and Tufts University have joined forces as Team Boston to compete in the 2009 Solar Decathlon. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL) sponsor this biannual competition in which twenty teams showcase fully operational, energy-efficient, marketable, solar-powered homes to the public on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.


The 2007 Solar Decathlon Competition brought 250,000 visitors to the ‘Solar Village’ on the National Mall to view the latest in green design. The competition also generated over 1 billion media hits worldwide. The 2009 competition is expected to receive even more attention, and our unique and relevant approach will put our project on center stage.
